Streets and roads

Street maintenance

The Streets division maintains over 350 miles of city streets, including pothole repair, crack sealing, street sweeping, sign maintenance, and pavement marking. Report street issues to (608) 755-3110 or submit an online service request.

Resurfacing program

The City's annual street resurfacing program addresses the most deteriorated roadways each construction season. Streets are prioritized using condition data and traffic volumes. The program is funded through the capital improvement plan.

Snow removal

Public Works provides snow and ice removal on city streets. Snow routes are cleared first, followed by residential streets. Salt and sand are applied as needed. A snow emergency may be declared during major storms, requiring vehicles to be moved from snow routes.

Report an issue

Report potholes, damaged signs, missing pavement markings, or other street issues by calling (608) 755-3110 or submitting a service request on the City website.
