Parks and Recreation
Janesville Parks and Recreation manages 64 parks spanning 2,590 acres of green space, making Janesville one of the most park-rich communities in the Midwest. The division operates recreation programs for all ages, manages pavilion and facility reservations, maintains trails (including the most in-city Ice Age National Scenic Trail miles of any Wisconsin community), and coordinates with the Rotary Botanical Gardens. The Riverside Park Golf Course provides a public 18-hole golf experience along the Rock River.

Janesville's flagship park along the Rock River features an 18-hole golf course, athletic fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, and scenic river views. The park also includes the Kiwanis Shelter and historic stone structures.
Trails and Ice Age Trail
Janesville has more Ice Age National Scenic Trail miles within its city limits than any other Wisconsin community. The trail follows the Rock River corridor and passes through parks, natural areas, and scenic overlooks. Multiple trailheads provide convenient access from neighborhoods across the city.
Pavilion and facility reservations
Park pavilions, shelters, and athletic fields can be reserved through ActiveNet online or by calling Parks and Recreation at (608) 755-3025. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and open annually for the upcoming season.
Riverside Park Golf Course
Riverside Park Golf Course is a public 18-hole course set along the Rock River in Janesville's historic Riverside Park. The course offers scenic views, mature tree-lined fairways, and a welcoming clubhouse.
