Office services

The Clerk-Treasurer's office handles utility bill payments, parking permits, dog licenses, vital records (birth, death, and marriage certificates), liquor licenses, and official city records. The office also manages elections and voter registration.

Utility billing

Water, sewer, and refuse bills are issued quarterly. Payments are accepted online through eGov, by phone, by mail, or in person at City Hall. Auto-pay enrollment is available.

Elections

The Clerk-Treasurer administers all elections held in the City of Janesville, including voter registration, absentee voting, polling place management, and election results certification.

Open records

Public records requests are submitted through the Clerk-Treasurer's office in compliance with Wisconsin's Open Records Law. Submit a written request describing the records sought.
