Fire safety education
Janesville firefighters provide fire safety presentations to schools, daycare centers, senior living communities, and civic groups. Topics include home fire safety, escape planning, cooking safety, and smoke detector maintenance.
Station tours
Fire station tours are available for school groups, scout troops, and community organizations. Contact Fire Administration at (608) 755-3050 to schedule a visit.
CPR and first aid
The department offers CPR and first aid training classes for community members. Check the Parks and Recreation program guide for upcoming class dates.
Car seat checks
Trained technicians provide free child car seat installation checks by appointment. Contact Fire Administration to schedule.
